The Muppets rock. I love how the show, and the movies, were able to transend generations and gain the appeal of a huge assortment of people.

Best of all, they're legitly funny, which is more than I can say for the current Sponge-Bobs and Rugrats of the world.

Re: Jesus and Christmas

The modern media machine doesn't have the guts to make something like the Charlie Brown Christmas Special anymore. It seems like any sort of biblical (or any kind of religious) reference is stared down upon. Just the other day, I watched an old Sesame Street special, and it made reference to Kwanza, Hanukkah, and Christmas as well, while not pushing or pulling any of them higher than the other. It reminded me how 'taboo' religion has become, all on the account that someone will be offended 'somehow'.

Funny how free speach only works in certain cases.
