Re: Kenneth Williams Interviews Stephen Fry
What a pleasure. Two giants of British comedy in conversation. And how nice to be transported back to that time when talk show hosts really could interview. Delightful.

Re: Melody (1971)
Thanks for posting this. I'd heard of it, but never seen it, and thought it was a very sweet film. I'm surprised it isn't more well known.

Re: Gary Busey on Prayer Hour
Obviously the host was just acting (though I was seriously worried he was for real at first), but I wondered whether Gary was in on the spoof, or he was being pranked.
Either way, after seeing him at the Oscars the other night, I don't have much respect for the guy!

Re: Fred Astaire - The Ceiling Dance
What would be cool is if someone edited the whole sequence so that it remained the "right way up", as it were, ie so the picture turns when the set does. It would just be interesting to reimagine how it was done.

Re: A Cello Rondo
An old classic. Gotta say, the video itself is a bit cheesy at times, but the music is wonderful.

Re: Richard Dawkins on The O'Reilly Factor
I too was surprised that O'Reilly wasn't his usual loudmouth, insulting self. However, I think that showed that he wasn't as confident in his position. He usually does not hesitate to shout down and attack anyone who disagrees with him.

Re: Richard Dawkins: An Atheist's Call to Arms
Enjoying this clip so far, but I always run up against the same problem with Dawkins - the way he characterizes religion is so foreign to my own religious faith.

Re: Jack Nicholson: Hold The Chicken
That was frickin' hilarious. I have to watch that movie sometime.

Re: The Original Phantom of the Opera
The 1925 film was set in Paris, not London, and was filmed on the Universal backlot in California!

Re: Price is Right: First Episode
Here in Britain, game show audiences have always been that mellow. When the Americans are usually screaming and fainting, the Brits are politely clapping.
It may have changed somewhat in recent years, but still, watching an American game show can be quite a culture shock for the average Brit.
