Re: Forklift Flips Maserati
Owning a cool care means your successful? Nah... it means you have money, or have access to it. BTW, some people work harder than most and still get paid nothing. Seems like a very nieve statement to make.

Re: The National: Atheists Spreading the Word
Expository...yes, but not completely. The narrator of the documentry takes an argument from each side and examines the other sides answer to that argument. While the atmosphere was very much like a informational piece, it was very much a debate, in an indirect sense.

Seems like Atheism is heading in the same direction. Aside from killing people (for now at least).

Re: The National: Atheists Spreading the Word
It still amazes me how this debate still goes on and on. You need god! You don't need god! Really, arguments for god, are good, but flawed. Arguments against god, are good, but also flawed!! You can make so many arguments for either side. What it really comes down to is choosing how you want to treat other human beings. I hear the atheists say, if we get rid of god, then people will be good to eachother. Thats bullshit. Much more than god makes us prejiduce towards one another. You Despair if you don't believe in god? I don't doubt he would despair, but that doesnt mean others will. Why does believing or not believing suddenly make you a good or decent person? I've seen these people on both sides.

Re: Cafferty: Bush War Money vs Heating
Buy you everything? Since when does "aid" mean "buy". The government helps these people purchase heating oil, not flat out buy it for them. Also, try bein poor sometime dude and see what its like. Its no picnic.

Re: The Real Hustle: Bartender Scams
Assuming that the booze is the most expensive, then they will (depending on the technique used) double or even quadruple their money per bottle. But I do agree that if someone finds out, then it probably won't turn out good for them.

Re: Forklift Flips Maserati
And the kicker!! Even if they say the car was there...its heresa. If no ticket was issued, and they're still screwed.

Re: Forklift Flips Maserati
No its not. The guy who took the law into his own hands (im assuming that guy wasn't the tow guy) is gonna be held accountable for that one.

Re: Cafferty: Bush War Money vs Heating
Not suprising...pretty much all americans, aside from the die hard republicans or the super rich, hate what this guys doin to us. And thats the kicker...HEEEE runs things >.<. I didn't vote for the guy twice, so I really can't say I take much blame for whats happening to this country. That honor goes to the red states!! Thanks GUYS!!

Re: Naomi Wolf: The End Of America
Very interesting, but also somewhat alarmist. Why? I believe that even though our government bears some resemblance to past foreign dictatorships, it doesnt necessarily mean that our leaders have the same intentions as they did. This is largely due to the debate over how we can keep our country safe. A huuuuuuuuuuge issue since 9/11. Some people (namely republicans, but not exclusively) believe we should investigate people who dissent in order to avoid atrocities like 9/11. Now I don't necessarily agree with all of the things this administrations done, but the flip side to opression is safety. Can we keep ourselves safe while at the same time preserve our rights? Some think yes and some think no. I think its possibe if its done correctly. This administration did a horrible job of this and the way we fix that is by voting for a NEW president with good ideas, not just rhetorical ideas. Know your candidates before you cast your vote.

Re: Weapons of Mass Deception
Very interesting documentary. It poses lots of questions that I had and also answers some of them. Basically re-enforces my opinion that a lot of major media has little, if any, social responsibility or objective responsibility to its viewers. Not a lot of proposed solutions, besides insinuating that viewers should do something about it, but very good all around.

Re: Conan: Norm MacDonald vs Courtney Thorne-Smith
IM not a carrot top fan...never have been, and I love norm macdonald...but isnt this the pot calling the kettle black? I'm not sayin that doin a movie w/ carrot top is a good idea....it probably isn't, im just pointing out that Norm Macdonald isn't one to be putting down other peoples careers. Its really both funny and pathetic at the same time if you think about it.

Re: Conan: Norm MacDonald vs Courtney Thorne-Smith
LOL...Norm MacDonald calling carrot top boxoffice poison??? LMAO ...That guy is pissed cause he's passed his hay day. At least CT is doin movies there norm. I think you lost what career you had when SNL went off the air. Which incidently reminds me of the bits he did on "weekend update". Kinda funny...chuckle at best...but pathetic.

Re: Law Enforcement Against Drug Prohibition
Great post, and consider the effect that legalizing drugs WOULDNT solve many of these problems.
