Re: Classical Metal
Oh! Sweet video! I love this band! Does anyone know where this came from or what the name of the instructional DVD was? If so, I really want to get it!

Re: Iron Maiden: Number of the Beast
One of the greatest Iron Maiden songs of all time! This is also one of my favorite. I like how the video makes light of what some people take so seriously. It is supposed to be cheesy! I also liked how they used short clips from the really old classic horror films. And the 10-foot Eddy cameo; Eddie is the ultimate metal mascot! I've seen them twice in concert over the past three years and I would see them again! Iron Maiden rocks! Thanks for the post, IAmDek, it is very appropriate for today! I believe it should especially be seen by all on this day, of all days!

Re: The PSP Sucks
First of all, there is no reason to take this guy seriously. If you hadn't noticed, he has a second video dated only a few days previous. He does the same thing with the DS (here's the link http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6405445518216376043 ). Even his website says this his shows are "dumb" and are "a waste of time." (http://www.talkingwithjon.com/) I believe these videos are supposed to be some sort of reverse-psychological humor.

Secondly, to the guy who commented before me. There is no reason to get all wound up about today's handheld systems and the people who play them. Your misconceptions about the DS and PSP, and even your blatant stereotyping of the typical gamer are a clear indication that you have no idea what you are talking about. You really have no place making such comments. Its obvious you are not a gamer yourself. Or you may know there is more to the PSP than bootlegging movies (hint: like some pretty decent games). And the DS touchscreen has a little more of a complex design in Metroid than "writing stuff." And "toys?" Give me a break.

The game industry grossed $32.6 billion dollars in 2005, overshadowing hollywood's worldwide 2005 box office revenue of $23 billion dollars. With that great a revenue, I can guarantee that the vast majority of gaming patrons smell nothing like funyuns, have a WoW account to speak of, have a bowlcut, or can even be sized for a bra. (I am sure that was some cheap attempt at even assuming that all gamers are overweight, and lead completely non-active lives.) Additionally, I am sure that the population of the world that contributed to the $32.6 billion dollars would not consider things like the PSP and DS as "toys."

If people can find entertainment in a device which you so ignorantly downplay, with the touchscreens and "3 inch screens," it is you Sir who truly do not know how to game -- while everyone else does. These devices are not meant to be taken as "toys" or as the epitomy of the technological revolution. They are meant to entertain and give people a fun, enjoyable time. True gamers are the ones who have fun, not those who are overly critical.

So, before you take you head out of your own ass, be sure to find the PSP or DS that YOU so lovingly shoved up there, and play a game or two before you start making ridiculous allegations and ostentatious generalizations about gamers. (And for that matter, the better portion of the world's population that help outsell hollywood.) Be a little more courteous, man.

I am a gamer and proud of it. I own a DS and a PSP and both are great. I am not overweight , do not smell, and do not have a WoW account. I program games for a career. Don't mess with me.

Re: Fun with LEDs
This is a pretty awesome idea. Simple, inexpensive, yet artfully attractive and amusing to the passers-by. This will make a cool project for me in the streets of Seattle. Hehe...
