Most people who seek public office do so with the intent of making the country a better place. The problem comes because we all have a different idea of what will make this country better. Personally, I'm as suspect of Ron Pail as I am of John McCain. Paul has a laissez faire attitude, which seems appealing to all you intelligent members of the MilkAndCookies Community. Problem is that not all Americans are intelligent or considerate. And, a free market, hands-off government won't protect you against people who have no interest in protecting your well-being. For example: lack of regulation is what has caused things like The Stock Market Crash of 1929, The Great Depression, and The Savings and Loan Scandal. It's a very difficult, costly thing to break down the structures of government and rebuild, it seems a lot more effective to use pre-existing structures to implement changes you wish to see, plus it seems as though there's some wisdom to be garnered from how the system has developed and changed in the last 200+ years since the Constitution was written. As for John McCain: he calls his wife a c*nt. That's enough reason not to vote for him.

All the editor says is true (although he said the exact same thing in ever interview, which is kind of boring). What doesn't change is that the drawing isn't very well done. What if the drawing had been of a higher quality and craftmanship? Do you think maybe people would have gotten that it was a joke?

You can thank Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, California, 8th District for refusing to bring articles of impeachment against the president. They're all a bunch of lily-livered do-nothings. But, I guess, we the people have gotten the leaders we deserve.

What the oil companies is responsible for is cronyism, not socialism. Socialism is responsible for all those backward countries, with better standards of living than the US: you know Iceland, Norway, and Canada. Those are some rogue countries, all because of Socialism.
