Re: Ron Paul and Frank Zappa on the Danger of American Fascism
I'm not a Ron Paul supporter due to his stances on Social Security, etc.

But I thank him for speaking out about this issue. (And it's interesting to note that he was scheduled to appear on Meet The Press on 12/23 - when no one would be watching due to the holidays.)

Per FDR, "The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism--ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power."

Fascism is the merging of corporate and government interests placing the private interests of these few, wealthy elites above the majority.

It doesn't matter if we're talking about Taxation Without Representation or Congress trying to pass regulation that will grant corporations immunity when they break our laws. It's Un-American either way.

So per the question, are we heading towards Fascism? No.

We've already arrived.
