From The New Batman Adventures cartoon, a group of kids share their stories about Batman that are colored by their different perceptions of him. This interpretation pays homage to Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" comic.

Bruce Timm is brilliance personified, and this show was the perfect example. I'm pretty sure an entire generation of superhero fans have had their understanding of Batman colored, at least partially, by the magnificent stories him and his team created. (The Frank Miller sendup excepted, of course)
I still think "Mask of the Phantasm" is one of the best animated films in existence.
