Really. Why don't you give it a shot? Have fun writing it. And then try to buy a house or rent an apartment somewhere near where you live. Or send your kids to school. Or feed them.

Oh, here's an idea: show up to work one day and find out you've been canceled, then live off the savings from the money you made three years ago selling one episode of Raymond. Retirement? Good luck.

i'm all for unions, but i hope they all get fired so some people with talent can have a whack at it.
