The issue here isn't even that the US Government shouldn't be able to spy on its own people/foreigners. Hey, they might have to sometimes, and I'm okay with that.
No, the issue is that the US Government must get a warrent - which it can do up to 3 days *after* they've already spied on us/foreigners.
But what Team Bush wants is to spy on us/foreigners with no warrant. Why, you ask? Because they're committing crimes when they spy and don't want a paper trail on their actions - even if this paper trail is classified and not readily available to us/foreigners.
If the Bush Government had nothing to hide, they wouldn't mind *following the law,* right? We're just saying they need to follow the law and leave a classified paper trail that allows for a level of transparency into their actions by their bosses who pay their salaries - aka, We the People.
Further, Team Bush started using these Telecoms to spy on us *before* 9/11. Yep, before. Do a google search to read about it.
And now Homeland Security is training our Firefighters to be able to enter our homes without probable cause to spy on us. Again, google it.
As a Vet decorated for Iraq who has to pay for his own healthcare, I'm so tired of all these rich Republican pussies who never served in the military crying like babies about everything they fear.
"Boo hoo hoo, I'm a Republican, and everything scares me. I'm a pussy...boo hoo hoo..."
All right, we get it. Grow a pair, ladies.
