Saying that all Americans do is bitch instead of doing anything to solve the problem is anything but an intelligent argument. So you are obviously smarter than anyone in America because you came up with the oh so original idea of...riots? What good would a riot do besides give bush ammunition to use against his own people? Besides who can afford to take the time off of work with the rising costs of living in order to go burn a city (where you have to live btw) to the ground cuz you're pissed off? Is it shitty right now? Hell yes, but hopefully with the coming elections a competent leader will be appointed instead of the trash that's been cycling through for the last few terms.

One more thing. If France's government actually listens to it's people and fears them then why do they need to riot "every other weekend"? Something must not really be working there then hmm?

Uh, how about voting and non-violent activism.

Protests, and even riots, don't have a permanent effect unless a nearly infinite amount of people are involved.

Otherwise, as an individual, writing officials and forming/joining organizations can be a great vehicle for change, IMO.
