Keith's Special Comment on George Bush lying about the NIE.

Re: Countdown: Special Comment 12-06-07
Why is our country so terrified of Impeachment? It should be thrown around like traffic fines, the President should be terrified he'll get impeached every week. It's completely backwards. I simply can't grasp why we let horrid presidents run rampant in the white house for years on end. Clinton? Good god, what a mess he made of things and he got to stay. Now Bush, setting new standards weekly it seems for imcompetence, and yet he still controls our armed forces, among other things. We are a great nation, and thanks to Mr. Bush, we have spent the last 7ish years as the laughing stocks of the world. I pray for a better future, but my god is it hard to be proud to call myself an American these days.

Actually Clinton got impeached for lying during grand jury testimony regarding his testimony. I've never understood why Americans continually bitch about their government but do nothing about it. Like seriously, i think its come to the point where you start riots to let the government know that you won't stand for this kind of nonsense anymore! France like riots ever other weekend and look at them. Their government actually listens to them and fears them. I think your just as guilty as bush if you just sit by and do nothing. And writing a blog about how pissed you are about bush is still doing nothing. Stand up and do something or sit back and watch your country go slowly into a dictatorship. If i were in your position, i would do something

You're obviously not an Australian, we Aussies just sit back and...well we just sit back really. We're not only apathetic regarding all things politically and socially relavant but we have the attention span of a... Oh, look a birdie!

Re: Countdown: Special Comment 12-06-07
Saying that all Americans do is bitch instead of doing anything to solve the problem is anything but an intelligent argument. So you are obviously smarter than anyone in America because you came up with the oh so original idea of...riots? What good would a riot do besides give bush ammunition to use against his own people? Besides who can afford to take the time off of work with the rising costs of living in order to go burn a city (where you have to live btw) to the ground cuz you're pissed off? Is it shitty right now? Hell yes, but hopefully with the coming elections a competent leader will be appointed instead of the trash that's been cycling through for the last few terms.
One more thing. If France's government actually listens to it's people and fears them then why do they need to riot "every other weekend"? Something must not really be working there then hmm?
Take your blame and your half assed opinion to someone who actually thinks you're worth the breath you waste instead of writing a comment about how pissed you are because no one cares

Uh, how about voting and non-violent activism.
Protests, and even riots, don't have a permanent effect unless a nearly infinite amount of people are involved.
Otherwise, as an individual, writing officials and forming/joining organizations can be a great vehicle for change, IMO.

Re: Olbermann Vote Ron Paul
This has absolutely nothing to do with Ron Paul. Sure, the poster may feel one ought to vote for Paul, but I was hoping to hear Olbermann comment on Ron Paul.
