It's not the "Democrats" who want to pull this funding - it's the majority of American people.
We're the ones paying for this Occuption. It's our money.
And the politicians are our lackeys. They work for us - not the other way around. They need to do what we're telling 'em.
But did you notice that Gates said we need this money to pay for 100,000 Contractors? Ahh...here' the real issue. The majority of funding goes to private contractors - not to our soldiers.
I'm a Vet who was decorated in Iraq (the first one), and all my friends (in and out of uniform) are pissed that they keep getting called back for multiple tours for pennies while Cheney's private contractors make 3x as much cash.
