These days, the reaction to this excerpt is, "Yeah. No kidding."

Thing is, though, Cross was saying this back before the Iraq war. Back before Bush had pissed off even the most hard-lining Republican. I felt the same way as Cross did, back then. Any jackass would have attacked Afghanistan. In fact, I can think of a few people who would have done it better (ie: securing the Pakistan border so the bad guys couldn't just disappear, or listening to the anti-terror experts, and not raising Bin Laden to super star status).

I guess I'm just frustrated. And that video about that documentary "UnCounted," has me pretty depressed. Maybe it's true... Maybe it's all fixed so that a couple fat white dudes can get even richer.
