Love Colbert. He's great in pretty much everything he does. Larry David? meh. The problem with this piece, like pretty much all of CYE(and Seinfeld before it), is that it just isn't funny.

Before you jump to conclusions, no, I'm not a hater. Indifferent is a much better term. I think the show is overrated. Not as overrated as Seinfeld, but still overrated nonetheless.

I digress. I think it has a lot to do with my dislike of shows and characters that are pathetic and/or buffoons. Ben Stiller is a perfect example. It appears that is the only kind of character that he is able to play. Its no wonder I don't watch any of his stuff. His only work I will watch is Mystery Men. Largely because of the ensemble cast...and because Claire Forlani is in it. :D

His humor is incredibly dry. And dry humor is like port wine. Either you absolutely love it or you think it tastes like stale vinegar. There's just no in between.

True, but who the hell doesn't like a nice port wine? I was treated to a '61 port once and it was frick'n fantastic.

Personal taste aside, Colbert is funny. The man has a rare gift for entertaining people. To not like him...is to be a tasteless dullard.
