Re: Royal Saudi Prince Bandar, U.K/U.S Defense Deals + Al-Qaeda
Ok, first off the whole "Do you know the bin Ladens" thing is WAY over played. The bin Laden family booted out Osama after the first WTC bombing so to tie them to him now is pointless.
2nd, wtf is the purpose of this video again? It's been known for years that we've had deals with the Saudis both in oil and arms deals. It's been going on since the 70s, no big cover up there.
3rd, the paying off of an influential figure to assure economic stability between countries...that's a part of politics. Dirty as it may be it's been going on for thousands of years, so why did the person who made this make it seem like a big surprise? I don't mind paying a Saudi a could hundred million if it means my country is going to save more in economic transactions between the two countries.
The maker of the video is obviously upset about something, but what? This is nothing new, at least to me.

Oh, well so long as it's been going on for thousands of years. Then it's okay.
I suppose you can justify prostituion, murder and other crimes because of how long they've been in existence as well?
You're right. Not a coverup. That doesn't mean it's not indicative of immoral or scandalous activity.

I will be a good moderator and not get involved in this debate ;-) Though I desperately want to.

Re: Royal Saudi Prince Bandar, U.K/U.S Defense Deals + Al-Qaeda
Actually you seem kind of defensive, guy. Something about this video must have bothered you to write such a long defense, eh?
Seems pretty clear to every other viewer of this video that it was created to bring light to potential illegal payments of tax dollars without citizen assent. Um, yeah. That's a crime, hoss.
Further, the video brings together multiple sources of information which clearly identify a level of complicity of the Saudis in terrorist activities which have strongly and negatively impacted the United States.
Saudi Arabia is not a "moderate" nation surrounded by extremists. Of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers on 9/11, *fifteen* of these hijackers were Saudi nationals. Over 75% of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudis.
And on 9/11, the only people allowed to fly after the attacks were…wait for it…Saudis - to include members of Bin Laden's family. We're not just talking about Bin Ladens but all Saudis - a documented fact that is highly troubling. This topic can't be overplayed. It should bother all Americans to include our President. Let's ask him, shall we?
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- George W. Bush, 3/13/02 - Six Months after 9/11
Hmmm… And why did Bush let Bin Laden go free at Tora Bora?
It's clear that Bin Laden's family and the US are still supporting his terrorist activities…
Heck, we found Saddam in a hole in the ground. I think we could find a 6'5" Saudi Arab hooked up to a dialysis machine…if we really wanted Bin Laden. But we obviously don't - for some reason.
And thus these are the significant facts why this question keeps rising to the surface. Why did Bush blame 9/11 on Bin Laden only to say 6 months later that he didn't care about him?
And lets' bring this discussion to today: Over 55% of the Insurgents in Iraq today are from…wait for it…Saudi Arabia.
And the majority of funding for all Insurgents comes from…wait for it…oh, you get it by now.
Thus by the US and Britain supporting private citizens in Saudi Arabia who they then promote terrorism that kills Americans does anything but provide stability for the US. And that's why this video was made. To raise the questions and assist people to contact their Senators and Congressmen to enact change.
Prince Bandar may not be orchestrating everything. But he may be. What does he care about the US? The dollar is growing weaker by the day. We have less purchasing power than ever before as we now have to spend 100 of our weaker dollars to buy a single barrel of oil. And even if he's not orchestrating the terrorism, Bandar is still just as aware as we are of terrorist activities coming from his country.
And yet he's doing nothing to stop it. Go ahead. Read between the lines. We'll wait for you.
So even if:
(1) this video is nothing new to you
(2) you support illegal spending of tax dollars just because you say it's been done for "thousands of years"
(3) you support Saudi who attack Americans
Surely you can allow others to view this information and disagree with the gross lawbreaking, the vast instability we're creating, and the resultant deaths that you state you support?
I guess something bothered me, too, to also have written such a long defense. But being a Disabled Vet surrounded by Neocon Chickenhawk sissies does that to ya sometimes.
