Straw men. You've seen them before. You scoffed at them at the time. Gay marriage. Flag burning. Just watch what the GOP does in rallying the troops over immigration.
When was this strategy last beat for the presidential general election? "It's the economy, stupid." Ignore the crap that is thrown atop the bonfire and stick to the most important issues. Wanna see change? Keep bringing up Iraq and state the truth that illegal immigration is a lower priority issue.
