I found the "Global Dimming" mentioned in the counter-documentary to actually make Global Warming more convincing. Basically, due to the immense particle pollution levels given off in the time of the Industrial Revolution, we had years in which it was actually growing cooler. This lead to fear of an approaching Ice Age, which eventually died down as temperatures recovered and filtering technology improved. Now, the effects of greenhouse gasses and whatever else have cumulated enough to be noticeable through "Global Dimming", especially in places where more initiative and action has been taken to clean up visible air pollution.
