Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
Deep in a bill from the House is a provision pardoning George W Bush, Dick Cheney and the rest of the Republicans working in the White House for all war crimes. And it's retroactive.

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
Once it was decided to let people in Washington D.C. run the mechanics of the war, I don't blame anybody that was involved in a near 100% consensus to go to war to be wary of those who like to change the rules mid stream. Once you are out of power, the risk of the opposition who once agreed with you, will turn on you and fry your goanies. The travesty of this whole situation is that we as a country (politicians mostly ) have forgotten how to wage war. Once you decide to kick some butt, go do it, get it done, and come home. If they start up again, go get em. None of this namby pamby political B.S. about nation building and government structuring. The war in Iraq was over when that slimey bastard was drug out of his rat-hole. We should quit wasting our taxpayer resources on a war that is paid for by U. S. Taxpayers and has no remuneration for them. And all this in a part of the world where no one wants anything other than what they are used to. Western style democracy will never work in that part of the world until the citizens of that part of the world want it. Right now they don't and we will never live to see the day that they will.

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
Just because we only hear about militia and car bombing, doesn't mean that that's all they want. I say that it is safe to say that the majority of the people there want peace and democracy.
It's just that the few who were smart enough to go the munitions warehouses, when we invaded, and loot them, because we were too focused on Saddam and/or just too incompetent, to secure them. So now those people are running around with rpgs tons of c4 and ak-47s, and thus its impossible to stop them now.

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
The sad thing is, that there are Democrats out there who would try to indict President Bush for war crimes if they ever got the power to do so; the very same democrats who authorized the Iraq war in 2003.

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
The saddest thing is that there are people in this country who still think they saw the same intelligence Bush did?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not registered with or defending either party, but come on... Seriously.
How naive are you?

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
Voting to authorize a war is not the same as voting to authorize war crimes.
Also, they voted to authorize force only under specific conditions, which were never met.

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
ya, the conditions were that the war would go smoothly, be over soon, and there would be few casualties.
Those conditions weren't met, so now they are against it.

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."
and bush is a man who assumed he deserved ultimate power.
wouldnt it be ironic if he had to pay the ultimate price for this?

Re: Bush Tries to Pardon Himself for War Crime
Just because we pass a law (in America) that "pardons" bush for war crimes doesn't mean that the UN needs to feel the same way, or the rest of the world for that matter. Next time some jackass bombs the shit out of one of our trademarks, don't be surprised if the rest of the world turns their back on us.
