The creator of Realdolls needs to partner with a team of engineers, headed by Raymond Kurzweil. Then we might get to witness real incarnations of Ghost in the Shell on CNN, alongside all other news we trust and which incidentally also masturbates our imaginations for no good reason. That would be neat.

I knew about these things for a while, and had seen the pics online, but seeing them on camera, with changing light and the occasional corpse-like movement as the owners lift them really makes them the ultimate uncanny valley machines. Granted, I get caught up on this stuff easier. I always feel I have to get mannequins a 3ft space at the mall, and frequently I glance at their faces, the stupid and subconscious part of my brain wondering, "Do I know you?"

I dont understand the whole "I would rather this than be lonely" comments made by every man on the show. Its a doll, it doesnt talk, smile, laugh, cry...anything byt provide holes. Its just a glorified masterbation aid.

The guy is talking about his doll as if she's a real person instead of an inanimate object.He seems to have a pretty tenuous hold on reality.You may as well be in love with a house plant-at least it would actually be alive.
