Aren't we sick of MTV yet? Everyone knows its run by a bunch of bazillionaires in suits at Viacom, right? I mean these two are funny and all, but it's all so processed and packaged and pushed on us with cheap sex and glitter and wink-wink, nudge-nudge. When do we grow up as a culture and just say, this is sort of insulting and tiresome, and kind of stupid. I went back to basic cable about ten years ago and I haven't missed MTV once.

Lennon DID say that from behind an extremely large bank account though...
I'm not saying his message wasn't spot on, but he can rightly be accused of subscribing to the system he was so against.
I think this is great, even though it's obviously scripted - Will Ferrell is awesome.

I still agree that MTV is a gigantic piece of shit, however. I had to live without any television whatsoever for a year, and ever since I haven't desired to watch at all. What I lost from television (nothing), I have gained in a surplus of free time. It's pretty awesome.
Also, might I recommend doing cardio to CNN? It really arouses that primal urge to run fast and kill things. All the track stars do it. It's like creatine.

Maybe. But what are we supposed to do? Pack up and move to Burma and become a monk? Go homeless? Join a convent? Live in a tent in the Redwoods for 17 years? Walden pond is on the verge of drying up, and it keeps getting hotter in here.
