Original Fantastic Four Movie: The Thing
From the director of Attack of the Giant Leeches and The Wasp Woman came one of the worst movies of all times.
Released in 1994, it was the first movie based on the Fantastic Four to be made.

Re: Original Fantastic Four Movie, Unaired
They made this movie with no intention of releasing it. A German company (Constantin) owned the option to the franchise and had to make a movie to retain the rights so they commissioned Roger Corman's company to do one on the cheap. Their intention was to shelve it and make a big studio remake later. Thus, this masterpiece.Doesn't seem that much different than the 2005 crapfest. The acting is just as good and at least this Sue Storm is a blonde.

Re: Original Fantastic Four Movie, Unaired
I keep hearing different stories on this one. Marvel was talking about this movie in the comics about a theater release, and then about a video release. It was released in some areas for 6 days before it was pulled. I think the company raised 70 million before loosing the rights to it. If you rent Carnasaur the movie on vhs, this trailer appears on it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkH2nTwk1uI

wetdogtwo beat me to the punch and I couldn't agree more with the comparison of the quality of the casting/acting. I don't expect "Rise of the Silver Surfer" to be any better of course. I mean, who are they gonna cast as Galactus now that Brando's dead?! ;)

I read about this bomb in Uncle John's, apparently there are some pretty horrible lines in it. For example: "Flame off!"

Re: Original Fantastic Four Movie, Unaired
Strangely, considering the budget and the era, they did an okay job at creating the Thing.
