Re: Leaping Baseball Play
Yeah I thought i saw him pumping his fist. Now the question is, was he out according to the instant replay?

Re: Leaping Baseball Play
The ump does call him out, but the catcher did not tag him with the ball. Only the catcher's free hand touched the baserunner, and therefore he is safe.
Alas, the ump has to make his call in a split second decision and since nobody's perfect, he made the wrong call

Yeah im not hugely into baseball but I've seen my fair share enough to know that even if umps clearly make the wrong call, their call remains, theres no turned over decisions using replays. Even in major leauges which this clearly isnt. Too bad he didnt get the call , it was a great show of athleticism.

Tumbling should be a part of eveyr athlete's regimen. Then sports would be like anime.

Tumbling in every sport. Tentacle porn in every bedroom. Utopia.

Re: Leaping Baseball Play
Despite that the ref seems to call him out at the end of the clip, it is probably just a habit in the case of a runner charging a catcher with the ball who is blocking home plate. I wouldn't be surprised if he immediately called it 'safe' afterwards.
