In response to the question, 'Is Ringo one of the world's best drummers' John Lennon once said, "He's not even the best drummer in the Beatles."
This video has been brought to you by the British Cancer Society. You don't have to be a Cancer to smoke. I mean, you don't have to smoke to get cancer. I mean, Ringo never had Cancer. I mean, Ringo's smoking killed George and John buried Paul, who then in a fit of revenge hired Mark David Chapman to kill him.
Yeah, when is Help! coming out on DVD? Sheesh.
"you, you, you, and you... paint him red and kill him!"
"I can say no more."

I will only state that I agree with John. Ringo was one miserable excuse for a percussionist.

I used to think that Ringo's drumming was not so noteworthy. However, as I listen to the Beatles now (I've been purposely listeing to them this year whereas before it only ever happened by chance) I realize Ringo was actually a real good, creative drummer.
He didn't do the fast chops and such that tend to wow people. He was (/is?) more of a melodic drummer, in that he created interesting beats and patterns. He didn't just keep a standard beat with fast rolls added in between the changes. He's really quite good and way underappreciated.
Hats off to you, Mr. Starr.
