Stephen Robert Irwin (22 February 1962 – 4 September 2006), also known as the Crocodile Hunter, was an Australian naturalist, wildlife expert, conservationist and television personality, best known for the television program The Crocodile Hunter, an unconventional wildlife documentary series broadcast worldwide and co-hosted with his wife Terri Irwin.
The pair owned and operated Australia Zoo in Beerwah, Queensland.

I always enjoyed Steve. His way of putting things trhat gave me much joy. He would give the most simple things a new meaning: "Look at that nail. That is an actual galvinized nail! Isn't she a Beauty? You can actually hammer them to make something usefull."
