This version of the sketch was cut, but they resurrected it the following week with Dennis Miller replacing Tom Hanks and Matthew Broderick replacing Jon Lovitz. Lovitz instead played the "other" guy with the small penis.
Apparently, the sketch motivated some group of prudes to call for a boycott of the show. Mary Tyler Moore referred to it during her monologue later in the season. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/88/88omono.phtml
