Drawn out and boring. I was waiting for the punch line, but it never came. Based entirely on premise; uninteresting.

Not really supposed to have a punchline, guy. It's character comedy, one of the many different wonderful kinds of comedy within the "humor rainbow". Go sit under it for a while.

Perhaps it's because the clip is incomplete. Only about half the sketch was shown. It missed the closing sequence. The complete transcript can be found http://snltranscripts.jt.org/84/84aswimmers.phtml. Hopefully someone might know where the entire clip can be found.
