Don't know the name of it. But my guess is that it's something by Danny Elfman (from the movie Pee Wee's Big Adventure, during the scene where Pee Wee uses the breakfast contraption machine).

I'm not an OS fanboy, but they clearly overdid it on this. All it takes is a quick google image search for "Microsoft Office Box" to show that Microsoft isn't nearly that bad- in fact it's pretty good.

If anything it should be commented on the oversized box for so small a product.

I think harmless parody is funny, yes. I just don't see this as parodying Microsoft really at all. Just my point of view, I 6'd the clip for good presentation and a brief smile.

Actually, now I see your point. People need to be more kind to Microsoft and stop overdoing it. When was the last time Microsoft overdid anything?

I'd have to agree on this one.
Although Microsoft has a lot of filler to the overal design and packaging to the display box, isn't that what it's all about anyway? You could either go for aesthtics and be overly simplified, or have more practicality listing it's compatabilities.

Either way, it's the same reason why you have a cartoon character on cereal boxes, appeal to they eye a bit more.

I kinda agree, i cant stand all the childish "i use [insert product], and [insert competitors product] sucks!"... whether your talking OS's, music production tools (a lot of it there), cars, games consoles, whatever... it just ******* annoys me!

However, having said that I'd like to say that I eat apples, and oranges are sh*t!... or more seriously, if the ipod WAS made by MS, i dont think i'd of bought mine.
