Letterman vs O'Reilly
Bill joined David Jan 4th '06 on the Late Show.

They discussed the War on Christmas, Cindy Sheehan, the Iraq war and a lot of what Bill has to say in general.

Letterman to O'Reilly: "60% of what you say is crap".

This is the complete interview.

Re: Letterman Ownes O'Reilly
Tsk, tsk... pandering to his guest by prefacing that 60% remark and telling O'Reilly that he's not smart enough to argue point for point with him? Truth is, the average Joe on the street who isn't blinded by partisan politics could argue with him and likely win if not on The Factor and either getting his microphone cut or being told by the host to shut up.

Re: Letterman Ownes O'Reilly
I think "ownes" is a rather strong word. It is more like he did not really agree and told him that on the air. Just because people do not like O'reilly and they see someone stand up to him does not mean he got "owned." Not that I would or would not love to see that happen.

Re: Letterman Ownes O'Reilly
O'Reilly's example of the elementary chorus who sang "Cold in the Night" instead of "silent night" was proven misleading two months ago. Cold in the Night was a historical piece written in the early 1900's that's been song at least hundreds of times in other schools and venues across the country FOR THE PAST 50 YEARS.

ANd that was just the first 30 seconds in. Letterman doesn't even have to refute O'Reilly. You already know O'Reilly will say any crap as long as ppl fall for it.

Re: Letterman vs O'Reilly
How is it that a late night talk show that includes a musical guest can feature a calmer debate than CNN or The O'Reilly factor?

I suddenly have an uncontrollable urge to hug Letterman.

Re: Letterman vs O'Reilly
Bill say's "no way that a terrorist who blows up women and children are gonna be called 'freedom fighters' on my program"

Bill, what do you call what our soldiars are fighting for over in iraq (supposibly)? isn't it freedom? So they're 'freedom fighters' right? Bill, those thousannds of civilian deaths caused by our own weapons and our own soldiars hands, were they all grown men? No, they were also women and children. Bill, you love our soldiars, and i love our soldiars, but dont go around as if they're over there shaking hands and handing out candy all day.

Also, war is not a end-all excuse to do anything you want to w/o conciquences. Presidents shouldn't be allowed to carry out with shady dealings and questionable practices because we're at war. I hate how these people think that we should turn a blind eye to everything Bush is doing just because we're at war.

Re: Letterman vs O'Reilly
What the heck is a soldiar? I looked it up on about 30 different sites, and have yet to find out what the heck a soldiar is. So, if you could please explain what exactly that is, you would put a mind to rest.
