Fahrenheit 9/11
is an award-winning documentary film by American filmmaker Michael Moore, which had a general release in the United States and Canada on June 25, 2004.
Because of its harsh critique of the Bush Administration, it generated much controversy around the time of its release.
Moore referred to the film as a "satirical documentary" on The Late Show with David Letterman in November 2004.
