The Call - The Walls Came Down
1983. Modern Romans, was notable for its political content. Been later stated, "There was a great deal happening politically - Grenada, Lebanon, or the government saying the Russians are evil and the Russian government probably saying the same about us. That kind of thinking inspired me to write the last lines of 'Walls Came Down'."

A cherry-picked tune from the eighties fruit tree.

Dude, in this life, there are worse things to be than a Van Morrison (or The Band) aficionado. In other words: Keep it up, you're doing allright.

When I was a little kid in the 1980s (born in 1977) listening to 105.3, KITS, the "Modern Rock" station, I always thought it was so weird this very Christian song was on the radio, sandwiched between Depeche Mode and Duran Duran. No idea they meant it as a political thing to the present time. I always thought they were literally referring to the miracle, when the walls fell at in the Battle of Jericho.

KITS! So you're from the Bay Area?

I'm from Baja in Mexico, and we were aware of KITS, even back then. In fact, I seem to remember that before KITS there was The Quake, please correct me if I'm wrong.

What's the Quake? Yeah, I'm from the Bay. It turned to Live 105 at some point, and then the music turned to Alternative. Then grunge happened. Then I stopped listening to the radio.
