McCain: He Said It First
McCain's freaky-mean '92 outburst is a well-sourced story found in Cliff Schecter's book "The Real McCain." Due to the particularly profane nature of the offense it would probably be useless to wait for the press to give it the full-on, endlessly repeating, 24-7 Reverend Wright treatment. So we'd love to help.

F*cking brilliant! And so spot-on.

The racist corporate media spent 3 weeks(!) telling us what Rev Wright said. Much of which seemed legitimate to the majority of Americans - which is why it didn't hurt Obama.

And yet we never hear about McCain calling his wife a c*nt.

Yes, McCain called his wife a c*nt. McCain c*nt. McCain c*nt. McCain c*nt.

McCain called his wife a c*nt.

If you're laughing, you get it and love our c*nt-ry...

I hate McCain, but is this really a big deal? Husbands and wives fight, and say nasty things to each other. Nothing new there.

Yeah, I really do think it's a big deal. It shows a glaring lack of discretion. Even if you were able to overlook the atrocious nature of the statement itself, the fact that he said it while reporters were standing there, listening to him (and I can't imagine they were subtle) demonstrates a complete lack of sense of appropriateness.

I think we've done enough time with a leader who can barely function with dignity. I really don't want to see someone else with a similar problem get into the oval office.

Re: McCain: He Said It First
Well said.

I understand the frustration or meanness that would motivate a guy to say something bad to a lady. Within reason. Yet, it is a mystery to me why McCain would be so untactful -- dude is trying to get the conservatives to help him win the election. Why the fuck would he say something so un-pious? Is he stupid or just way too hot headed?

Either way you slice it, the prick is gunna make things awful exciting if he ever gets a hold of Americas' firepower.

Actually, even though America is desensitized to pretty much everything, the word c*nt is probably the worst possible word. Even the word n*gger isn't as offensive, having been used judiciously in modern movies and music. Nobody says c*nt.

No, the shock value of the word 'cu#t' has softened -- it ain't that terrible these days ... unless it is to a woman in certain (most) circumstances. Only the bold or the foolish ever let that zinger slip out.

(which is McCain?)

But 'cu#t' isn't nearly as inappropriate as saying some racial slurs to particular folk. That much is obvious.

Don't give the word cunt so much street cred. Sure, it can be quite hostel and upsetting to little old ladies ('specially when I scream) ..though, they just end up getting a little excited for a few hours and... then the old girls probably have something new to talk about during pinnacle night.

As for being called racially derogatory names: if someone walked up to me and said I was a green eyed honky - I'd most likely feel deeply wounded inside. Wounded because I know it's illegal for me to murder someone like that just for being a total fuk'n idiot; without some over assumptive asshole claiming I did it for racially motivated reasons. Has the nerve to suggest that my statement, "I'm just cleaning the gene pool of stupid and I don't give a cunt what color he was", does not support my defense.

However, that's just my take. I'm certain that an Arab person really hates being called some words. Words which don't even come close to peak potential for cruelty and ignorance that cunt has.

Besides, sometimes woman can be cunts and it is perfectly acceptable to point that out to them; just as, it is equally acceptable to tell some men that they are cunts.
