Don't get me wrong; I don't believe in this shit. But I just think it's funny that the Catholic Church was never able to strip itself of the pagan idol worship of its Roman heritage, despite the very words of God. They justify it by claiming they are "praying through the saints," not to them.

I've never heard the 2nd commandment phrased that way. Not since the reformation anyway.

"Thou shalt not worship any graven images" or "Thou shalt not worship any false idols" etc.

That argument had already been settled by the sects you speak off hundreds of years ago.

Nothin' that a little glue won't fix ... However ... I prefer to cut the statue into pieces and make some bird houses out of it. That way it'll be at least of some real good value. Also, I think I'll just put up a huge banner in that church saying Save all the Tits of the World. (Check your bird guide in case you think I'm crazy.)

Do you reprimand religious people who are rude and judgemental in this same manner? Somehow I think not. There will always be nincompoops who respond wrongly to situations, regardless of belief, and you can hardly label someone as ignorant because they placed the qualifier "religious" before calling these people fools.

Historically, to condemn someone for showing contempt for people of belief would be horribly hypocritical. I should think after so many years of being demonized and belittled that people of differing beliefs would be able to voice their opinion without reprimand.

I love watching the guy in the blue suit totally drop the statue and then dust off the statue and make a dash for the door. But what's really funny is the guy in black at the far right of the frame. He's watching the statue go down and doesn't react at all.

Maybe that's guy is Satan.
