The fabulous 1971 (1:46:26) film Melody, featuring Jack Wild, Mark Lester, and Tracy Hyde. Two youngsters declare to their parents that they want to get married. Not sometime in the future but as soon as possible. The story is told from the children's point of view.

Thanks for posting this. I'd heard of it, but never seen it, and thought it was a very sweet film. I'm surprised it isn't more well known.
