So are you saying that it's okay to torture people as long as you don't have to hear about it or who gives a shit? I mean, it is illegal in the US and most of the world, and torture has been shown to be as unproductive as it is unethical.
A lot of people don't watch the news and don't know or couldn't accept this... Which is nearly as frightening as blowing it off.

I'm with podboy: That the information is new or not is irrelevant. As long as the problem persist, it will be necessary to keep putting the information out there to ensure that the maximum number of people know about it. You can bet that the opposite effort is being made by those responsible - that is, the effort the keep this information from the public forum.
Plus, how many opportunities do I get in life to say, "I'm with podboy"?
